Growing up in a family owned business, Brittney Klinger was excited about the opportunity to explore the route to owning and operating her own business through coursework at the Simmons School of Management. Brittney is an undergraduate business major at Simmons College expecting to graduate in 2008.

Brittney has a tremendous appreciation for her great-grandfather who started and owned his own car dealership. The dealership is currently in its 82nd year of business. The concepts and practice of entrepreneurship she learned at Simmons are an important factor in her career development and future success.

The elective courses at Simmons College enabled me to see the 'big picture' of running a business.   I learned how to focus on the main objectives of a company and how to find a potential and profitable niche in an ever-changing marketplace. After studying many businesses and working for my family's company, I know that balancing all aspects of running an organization is what makes a company truly successful.
