The Undergraduate Student Experience
Lauren Marashio
Undergraduate Student
Lauren is inspired by women who meet the challenges of becoming successful entrepreneurs, and that's what led her to the undergraduate entrepreneurship program.
Introduction to Entrepreneurship provider her with the opporttunity to enhance her leadership skills and gain a better understanding of how to establish a business. Through experiental learning, she had the opportunity to witness many of the challenges today's entrepreneurs face when running their own business. She learned how to develop a business idea and take it from a concept to a full-fledged business.
As the only business school dedicated to educate women for leadership positions, students benefit from direct and frequent contact with faculty, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, special guests and programs, including Entrepreneurship Week at the College.
The Simmons Entrepreneurship program provided me with a wealth of resources for developing my entrepreneurial skills. I've enjoyed the support of numerous role models and mentors, and plan to engage in entrepreneurial endeavors in the future.
