The Art and Science of Leadership

The Simmons MBA incorporates all of the essentials of a classic business degree, from finance and marketing to economics and technology management. Our innovative program covers areas such as negotiation, communication, and career strategies, which our research shows are critical for women’s leadership success. Attention to ethics, stakeholder accountability, social responsibility, and sustainability is integrated throughout the curriculum, supporting our mission to educate women for principled leadership.

A hallmark of a Simmons education is the integration of theory and practice. Through hands-on coursework, the Simmons MBA challenges students to develop the analytical skills required to address complex management issues, such as
how to leverage technology for strategic advantage or align profitability and social responsibility. Interdisciplinary learning is supported by group discussions, team projects, and collaborative research with students and faculty. Students also expand their practical experience through internships, as well as opportunities to consult on projects for New England companies and organizations.

“Shortly after I graduated from the SOM, I was recruited to manage a large relocation project for a Boston law firm and my relocation management career was launched. I never doubted myself because I learned at the SOM that I could be a good leader.”
